A minor injury, a bit of embarrassment, a few hurt feelings – what’s the worst that can happen in a game of truth or dare… Right?
In the case of these college students, it’s a living nightmare where all the players could die. Olivia (Lucy Hale) and her friends indulge in what they think is a harmless, silly bit of fun as they share a few beers during a holiday in Mexico. But things take a weird turn when a guy they’ve just met blurts out a strange ‘truth’.
“I’m okay with strangers dying if it means that I get to live.”

At first, the kids don’t think much of it. However, before long it becomes clear that something sinister has followed them home. Several of Olivia’s friends are killed in strange and unexpected circumstances, and she’s certain it’s connected to what happened in Mexico. It turns out, there’s a much bigger game at play, and consequences are fatal. You don’t get to choose between ‘truth’ or ‘dare’. And if you lie or refuse to act, you die.  The friends are forced to turn against each other in order to stay alive. But how do you win when the game begins to control the players?

Jeff Wadlow (Kick-Ass 2) directs this psychological horror. Truth or Dare is produced by Jason Blum, who brought us the highly-acclaimed Get Out, and Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) stars as Olivia, alongside Tyler Posey (Jane the Virgin), Landon Liboiron (Frontier), and Violett Beane (The Flash).
